Equipment

  • Frying pan
  • Biscuit cutter, or round cookie cutter

Ingredients

  • 1 thick slice homemade-style or french toast bread
  • 1 duck egg

Instructions

  • Use the biscuit cutter to remove the center from a large, thick slice of bread.
  • Place the piece of bread into a well-greased frying pan, over medium-low heat.
  • Break a duck egg into the empty center of the bread. Cook for three minutes, or until the egg white is no longer transparent.
  • Carefully flip over the slice of bread, with the egg center. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until yolk is set as much as you like.
  • Remove from pan, and serve warm.
