Duck egg toad in a hole
Classic "Toad in a Hole" is an easy and fun breakfast for kids or adults. This version features a nutrient-packed duck egg in place of the usual "Bird in the Nest"!
- 1 thick slice homemade-style or french toast bread
- 1 duck egg
Use the biscuit cutter to remove the center from a large, thick slice of bread.
Place the piece of bread into a well-greased frying pan, over medium-low heat.
Break a duck egg into the empty center of the bread. Cook for three minutes, or until the egg white is no longer transparent.
Carefully flip over the slice of bread, with the egg center. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until yolk is set as much as you like.
Remove from pan, and serve warm.
