Starting an advent calendar is such a great way to kick off the 24 days before Christmas! My plan for this year is to whip up an easy pocket-style fabric calendar for each kid (like the one in this tutorial) ahead of time.
These are so cute, and easy to make! Little kids can use toddler scissors to practice cutting out the pattern, and older kids LOVE the chance to cut something different like birch bark.
